CMP blogging graduate, Renatka Behan, has already made her mark as a top food blogger.
Renatka’s blog Fabulicious Food has climbed to become the UK’s fourth most influential gastronomy blog by the social publishing site Ebuzzing.
Her achievement coincided with achieving a distinction in her CMP course.

A CMP music journalism course student has won a coveted national award for excellence after having her music blog spotted by Beyoncé’s PR team.
RCA Label Group, who are part of Sony, looked at her blog from a retweet and thought it was ideal to promote the global megastar.
So Natasha exclusively released tracks and quotes from the pop celebrity before the new album 4 was released last month.
And now the Association of British Correspondence Colleges (ABCC) has selected Natasha for its coveted certificate of merit award.
The award is given to distance learning students who have performed exceptionally well on their courses.
The nomination was verified by the ABCC’s council last week.
Natasha tells us: “I was so honoured, proud and excited, all at the same time!
“I’m so glad I clicked on CMP a year ago. The tutor, Adam Adshead, has got to be the best tutor in the world!

Beyoncé album promo success for blogging student
CMP student, Chris Carra, has won a national award for his popular blog, Forza Swansea
Chris won the coveted Best Sports Blog title in the Wales Blog Awards last week. His blog is about Swansea City FC.
Chris’ photo was taken as he was presented with his prize at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, by Hamish Stuart from Sporting Wales.
ITV’s Adrian Masters compered the event.
The judges said: ‘This blogger has been writing about Swansea City since 2010 and his passion for his team shines through his posts.
‘The blog has retained its humour through the club’s highs and lows and is a must-read for Swansea City fans.’
Chris said: ‘I am thrilled with the news, especially after all the hard work I’ve put in over the years.’
Chris started the blog as part of his CMP coursework.

American Idol interviews for blogging course student
Blogging course student, Anna Howell, took part in a live interview with stars from the smash TV series American Idol, last night.
The interview featured celebrity judge Keith Urban and was arranged to promote the Las Vegas part of the contest.
Anna took part via a teleconference and then wrote up five stories for Unreality TV, where she works.
She said: ‘British publications with US sister sites were invited to listen in, while US reporters asked the questions.’
Anna has previously taken part in interviews for British reality shows Celebrity and Big Brother, and is a key publicist for Hollyoaks.
She said: ‘One of my best contacts is Hollyoaks, where I have been to their Liverpool set a few times as well as visiting their offices in London to cover their biggest stories.
‘I made a contact and they followed me after liking my work. They use me as their chosen outlet above many others to cover their biggest storylines.’
Anna is currently arranging a site visit to Emmerdale to interview some of the stars of the TV soap.
CMP principal, Cleland Thom, said: ‘Anna is doing what we encourage all our students to do: living the dream. I’m really jealous!’

I am the tutor on CMP’s webediting, subediting, business writing and English writing skills courses.
I have been involved in writing, editing and subediting copy throughout most of my career.
As a journalist, I developed a strong command of English grammar, spelling and punctuation, along with the ability to write clearly, concisely and with the reader in mind.
As a member of management, I became experienced in writing effective memos, reports, emails and other documents to directors and management team members.
I worked as a revise editor on the Daily Post in Liverpool, checking the final page proofs, and made corrections before releasing the pages to the production department for printing.
I also liaised with production and printing staff to resolve any technical problems and made sure deadlines were met.
I have also proofread publications including books, short stories and college teaching aids, and also produced a number of stand-alone publications, from what’s on guides to programmes for sporting events.
These involved checking the final proofs and liaising with production staff.
As a regional daily newspaper subeditor, my duties included checking copy for factual, grammatical and punctuation errors, and working to tight deadlines.
I worked for the Daily Post and the Manchester Evening News as a page designer and subeditor.
I was also an editor of a local newspaper and website within the MEN Media group, and am experienced in all areas of webediting.
