I was looking for inspiration, something to help me feel worthwhile again. I had the dreaded dullness which comes from being in the same job, doing the same thing for 23 years. I decided I needed to sharpen my skills. 
I found the proofreading course online and decided I would give it a go. WOW! It has opened my eyes to a whole new way of looking at literature.
I thought I was picky before but now, I feel as though the dust has been brushed off my psyche and I am looking forward to applying my refreshed and new skills to my current job, whilst looking for avenues to expand my working world.
I am not sure how far this new confidence will take me but it can only be a positive moving forward. Thank you, Cleland and CMP for helping me kick-start my enthusiasm.
