I divide my time between Poland and England and regularly get asked when in Poland to check texts for friends. I decided it was important to have an accredited certificate and improve my skills, so was very glad to find a course I could do online irrespective of which country I am in!

It was excellent. It was very well organised and logical – covering the key skills needed. I learned much I didn’t know, such as the importance of style guides. I discovered a new way of reading – word by word – something which I still need to practise.

I was very pleased with Julian’s quick responses to my submission of assignments. He gave constructive (not lots, but specific and to the point) feedback. I am VERY satisfied. Julian often responded either early morning or late night – which was good, so I didn’t wait long for responses.

I thought the content was great – really practical and very helpful – covering the key skills, with lots of links to practice.

I learned a lot – key skills needed in Word and PDF (the latter which I found quite fiddly as I usually work in Word and track changes; the importance of and how to use style guides. I discovered a new way of reading – word by word – something which I still need to practise.

I learned the Harvard system (having only ever had to use a bibliography)I realised the importance of checking for facts (ie surnames etc) – something which I can now see is pretty fundamental. I also realised how I need to improve my punctuation!

I loved the lesson with the similar words – I was surprised at how wrong I was on occasion and will know to check carefully in future.
