I enrolled on the course as I work in the marketing industry and I believed that having proofreading and editing skills would be very useful.
I used to do a lot of proofreading in the past, in my native language, and I thought it would be helpful to learn the rules that apply in the English language.
The course exceeded my expectations. It was very comprehensive, covering many different subjects.
One to one support was provided throughout the course with the tutor being very approachable making it easy to ask questions.
It never took longer than a few hours to receive a response, which also contributed to the high quality of the support.
The content was very useful and also broad covering all aspects of proofreading and editing. I found each of the lessons interesting and enjoyed being challenged by the assignments.
Apart from general principles that apply to proofreading and editing I’ve also learned more about English grammar and punctuation rules, which are useful in everyday situations; learning special “proofreading language” (special characters used to mark errors) was also very handy as I wasn’t aware it existed.
I would definitely recommend it to whoever is interested in proofreading or editing. It’s definitely a great investment and great value for money too.
