I wanted to get proper training in the fields of proofreading and editing, that will enable me to work in these fields. I could not find anything suitable here in Israel.
I feel this course has provided me with all the basic and necessary knowledge and tools to start my way in the fields of proofreading and editing.
The feedback that was written by the tutor to my course assignments were very thorough, constructive and enlightening, and they helped me to fill all the gaps (in knowledge).
The tutor was always patient and attentive to any queries and inquiries that I sent, and has always provided me with appropriate guidance with regard to these queries.
Also, the feedback to my assignments and queries reached me very fast, usually in no more than one working day. All in all, the tutorial support was great and in my opinion, of the highest standard and quality.
The course is very comprehensive and balanced. It contains – so I believe – the basic knowledge and tools that are necessary to go in to the fields of proofreading and editing.
I learned various methods of proofreading and ways to proofread documents efficiently, that is to increase my error finding rate. I also learned how to convey these errors to authors or editors through making constructive and sensitive queries. In addition, I learned basic approaches and aspects in editing.
