CMP proofreading and editing course graduate, Ben Sneath, has launched his own business providing editorial services.

Ben took our proofreading course to redefine his skills after several years working as a journalist.

He has experience working for clients including Nursing Standard and Travel Trade Gazette.

He said: ‘I offer clients a range of editorial services, including digital and print proofreading, copyediting and writing. I’ve been a freelancer for over 15 years and built-up a large list of clients – from media groups to start-up publications and sites.

‘I’ve been passionate about the written word all my life and I achieved a BA in English Literature at Swansea University. This passion led me into the world of journalism and publishing. I started as an editorial assistant and later established myself as a freelance copy-editor and writer.’

Ben added: ‘I went on to complete the NCTJ News Journalism diploma to improve my writing and media law knowledge. While, to nail my grammar and editing skills, I recently passed CMP’s proofreading and editing diploma. I can now offer all these skills to my clients.’
