Translators on our copywriting course face AI challenges

But now, they are having to adapt to AI, which can replicate some of their roles.
For example, Meta’s new SeamlessM4T tool can translate between text and speech in nearly 100 languages, and speech-to-speech in 35 languages.
However, Seamless, and other similar tools, should not threaten translators, as they cannot replicate cultural nuances or understand local idioms and slang.
This article explains the limitations.
SeamlessM4T does has its benefits. It will make it easier to work with overseas clients and may provide new work opportunities.
We tell our learners they can protect their jobs by being innovative, and offering clients what AI cannot do.
