I took the web writing course as part of the newspaper journalism course.
For me, it was an inspirational mix of practical tips and guidance on writing, in a way that grabs the reader’s attention. With the internet, the reader can all too easily be lost with the click of a mouse!
The tutorial support provided was excellent. Work was returned promptly and with detailed, specific, and always positive comments.
The section on law was very necessary and most interesting, while another important topic covered was how to go about finding work.
As a result of the course, I changed career at the age of 42 from that of a biology teacher to a newspaper journalist working for a local paper.
I absolutely adore my job now, and I know that the web writing course will be very useful to me in the future as more and more newspapers are committing to an online presence.
