Originally, I thought an online course may be limited, but as it was based in the UK and it was something I could do during the Covid-19 restrictions, I decided to take a chance. I am very happy to confirm that this course greatly exceeded my expectations.
I was very lucky to have had Shuna Meade as my tutor. I sense Shuna is a no-nonsense kind of lady, but she has extraordinary tutorial skills and offered exemplary support. As a person who writes novels as a hobby, I wanted to better my writing. But as an older student with several insecurities, Shuna really put me at ease and made me want to do well in this course. I am very grateful to have had her wise and sympathetic feedback.
I thought the course content was fantastic, especially for online learning. The topics are explained in easy-to-understand detail, the quizzes are very helpful and the assignments are excellent.
Apart from learning the techniques to proofread and copy edit, I learned that it’s never too late to learn a new skill. Everyone should learn a new skill, especially when it can be done in the comfort of your own home or office. I learned some amazingly helpful techniques that I will use in my future writing projects, and I also hope to help other self-published authors in my position.
My experience was faultless, so I can’t think of anything to add to improve this course. My tutor responded very quickly whenever I emailed her, my grades were returned much quicker than I expected and the CMP website is easy to navigate and understand.
Overall, the course suited all of my needs and exceeded my expectations.
