CMP proofreading course graduate, Rachel Finnegan, has been accepted as an associate member of the Association of Freelance Editors, Proofreaders and Indexers in Ireland.

The association only admit people with experience and references, and has a rigorous vetting process for new members.

Rachel graduated from CMP’s proofreading and editing course earlier this year, and has set up a successful proofreading business: Irish Academic Editing

She offers editorial services to publishers, writers, researchers and students, and has already generated plenty of work.

She said: “AFEPI membership means I should be eligible to do more work for publishers.”

CMP principal, Cleland Thom, said: “Rachel has done really well to be accepted as an AFEPI member so quickly after completing her course.

“She is a great example to our other proofreading course students.”
