A CMP proofreading and editing course graduate has given the course a resounding endorsement.
Carol Williams passed the course with distinction in 2017.
She said: “I enrolled on the course because I thought it would be interesting and give me another skill I could bring to the workplace.
“The modules were very detailed and I had plenty of opportunity to consolidate what I had learned in previous modules.
“The tutorial support was excellent. Whenever I needed any further information or advice, my tutor was on hand to help.”
She also praised the course content: “It was very easy to follow and the individual modules gave just the right amount of information. The modules led me through the process of proofreading / editing step by step, consolidating as I went.
“I learned that proofreading isn’t as easy as it may appear, and that it can be very demanding of your concentration.
“I also learned that, if done well, it can greatly improve any text to the reader’s advantage. Proofreading is a diverse subject and needs to be followed step by step, which this course did.”
Carol concluded: “I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would certainly recommend it to anyone. It’s interesting and thoroughly engaging.”
