I signed up on the CMP copywriting course because I wanted to branch out from my career as a freelance journalist and author, to supply writing services to businesses in my area.

The course gave me a good grounding in commercial writing.

My course tutor, Justine Holman, gave precise feedback and plenty of constructive criticism throughout.

She was always quick to answer the many queries I sent during and after the course.

The success of the course can be measured by the progress of my commercial copywriting activities.

Since completing the course, I have taken on several clients for whom I provide website copy, press releases, advertising features and other written materials.

On my tutor’s advice, I also joined my local chamber of commerce, for networking purposes.

The contacts forged there have brought me some work.

Some of the core disciplines of the copywriting course also helped me refocus and refresh my journalism career.
