CMP proofreading course graduate, Robyn Hunter, has recently started her new business, Gold Standard Editing, and is on her way in the world of proofreading and editing.

Robyn is currently working with an author in America, proofreading and editing five short novels before they get published in December.

Robyn said: “I love what I do and hope to help other writers with their manuscripts. Whether it be fiction or fact, short or long. I will always follow the wishes of my clients.”

“I have always loved reading, but I noticed all of the punctuation errors and double words in my favourite books, which annoyed me but it also inspired me to find out whose job it was to find them and remove them.

She added: “When I decided to become a proofreader and editor, I shopped around for a course that would provide me with the most knowledge. After a few days of searching, I found CMP and their course was perfect. I couldn’t wait to get started.

“The course was amazing, it went over and above my expectations and I graduated with a distinction. I would recommend this course to anyone who enjoys the English language and wants to make a career out of proofreading and editing.”
