CMP proofreading course graduate, Robyn Hunter, has edited a fiction novel that is being published traditionally in paperback.

Robyn was first approached by the author in 2017, and after providing the sample edit, the client was excited to work with Robyn as she liked her editing style. Which was one that kept the authors voice, something that we stress on our proofreading course.

After completing the edit, Robyn was informed that the client was submitting her manuscript to publishers that were a good fit.

Robyn, who graduated from our online proofreading course in 2015, has already edited over a dozen self-published novels and continues to work with authors all over the world.

She said: “I was over the moon when my client told me the news. I knew she never wanted to self-publish. So for her dream to come true, and to be a part of it, is an incredible feeling.”

Robyn is the learner coordinator at CMP, as well as being a freelance editor.
