CMP online journalism course student, Nazrin Wilkinson, took part in a major Mirror investigation in to the plight of the homeless.

Nazrin, who is currently studying other online courses with CMP, had her name on the feature which revealed that 3,500 people will sleep on the street this Christmas.

The feature examined the worsening plight of the homeless in several towns across the UK.

Nazrin said: “I am currently focusing on social exclusion, poverty and homelessness.”

She has been involved in other media campaigns before.

In 2014, she was part of Maggie O’Kane’s team covering the Female Genital Mutilation controversy for the Guardian.

She has also freelanced for BBC News, Sky News and BBC Newsnight.
