CMP online journalism course student, Nazrin Wilkinson, had her byline on page 1 of the Daily Telegraph with an exclusive about allegations that a top women’s tennis player was poisoned.

Nazrin sourced the story, about Wimbledon competitor Gabrielle Taylor, which appeared last month. Read it

Taylor, 18, was forced to withdraw during the girls’ tournament, after being struck down with a mystery illness.

Police launched an investigation.

Nazrin is media consultant to Taylor, who is ranked 377 in the world.

She said: “I had the front page scoop which was shared by Martin and Sam from the paper, but it was my story that was brought to them. In total, I had four articles with shared bylines but they were my news.”

She has freelanced work for the Daily Mirror, the Guardian, BBC News, Sky News and BBC Newsnight.
