CMP graduate, Phil Hilton, made a dream debut as an author by making it on to the Amazon Top One Hundred Best Sellers list.

Phil hit the coveted Top One Hundred list in the crime category for his new books, A question of honour, and A code of conduct, published last week.

He is planning a third title in the series – a collection of short stories – in March. They are available on Kindle at the moment, but he plans to publish the titles as paperbacks.

The books are thrillers about a notorious character called Harry Royle, based on Phil’s late father, who was once Britain’s most wanted man.

Phil said: “The book promo went amazingly well. I peaked at number 16 on the first page of the Amazon list. Not bad for a new book. I have also achieved two 5* reviews.

“It was funny, the first day was pretty good, I had a decent amount and then the day after it slowed. I went in to a high gear Twitter campaign and in two days it was in doing well.”
